Art, Design and FashionSchool Leaver / 16 - 18 yr Old Adults Vocational Courses
Creative Practice: Fashion
“I chose to study fashion for several reasons; having aspired to work in fashion since I was young, I felt confident this was the industry that I wanted to work in and therefore the option of studying A-level wasn’t the best option for me, personally. The course had been recommended to me by someone, after attending the open day I had no doubt that this was the course I wanted to study.”

Fashion and Clothing Level 3
“Since finishing at CWA, I attended university at Bath where I achieved BA (Hons) Fashion Design. I now work for River Island as Assistant Designer for Kidswear Bags and Footwear. My products are now finally in store and online and it’s an incredible feeling to see this is available to the public.”
Art and Design Level 3 (Extended Diploma)
Emma chose to study at CWA as she knew the college has a very strong art & design department.
“I learnt so much while at CWA, from being in the print studio to photography and graphic design. I will always remember how encouraging the tutors were and how they would push you to do your best.
Studying at CWA had benefited me a lot when moving on to the next stage in my life. The grade I achieved and the stills I learnt at CWA helped me get into university, as they were looking for someone with a wide understanding of art processes and techniques.”
Emma now works for a small family run, interior design company, making curtains and blinds along with smaller accessories such as cushions, bed runners and curtain tie backs.
Emma says "I love my job as it is creative, I am always making things and it is never boring.
